My Story
I understood financial well-being professionally. Caregiving taught me what the numbers leave out.
The story behind The Wealth of Caregiving.
For more than three decades, I have worked in the credit union movement helping financial institutions think differently about financial inclusion and the people they serve.
Then caregiving became part of my own family's daily life. My father faced serious health challenges before he died on Christmas Day in 2025. Today, my husband and I help care for my mother, who lives with dementia.
I know the 3 a.m. calls, the changes in plans, the exhaustion, and the decisions no family wants to make about how long the money available for care will last. I also know that the caregiver's own future can disappear from the conversation.
That is why I began building The Wealth of Caregiving — not just another caregiver tool, but a connected ecosystem where credit unions, caregivers and trusted resources work together.
I believe we can care for the people we love without forgetting the people doing the caring.
